ACTIVE MEMBERS

The Uniform Crime Reporting programs of the States, the District of Columbia, and the Territories are Active Members. Those States and Territories without a state-designated program may become Active Members upon a two-thirds vote of the existing Active Membership.

Each Active Member shall name one (1) person as its voting representative. Each Active Member may, at its discretion, name an alternate representative if the designated voting representative may not be able to vote at the Association business meeting or other meeting.  In any case an Active Member will have one vote in any business meeting. Business meetings are only open to active members, their staff, and/or proxy.

GENERAL MEMBERS

Any person, organization, federal, state, local or other law enforcement agency which subscribes to the statement of purpose of the Association or submits UCR data to a state program or the FBI or who are not active members but who have paid registration fees for attendance at the annual conferences will be considered a general member. General members will be encouraged to attend and participate in the annual conference of the Association. General Members shall not have voting privileges and shall not be allowed to attend business meetings without approval of the Board of Directors or upon a specific invite to speak by the President.
